So here’s the last post on this topic, this time covering ships under construction or on order for Royal Caribbean, MSC and TUI. I ought to say that these lists have not been built using information directly from the relevant lines. Although I asked Royal Caribbean (twice) I’ve not received a reply from them. (I […]

I’ve been banging on a bit recently about the whole check-in thing. This arose because of two things – first, the decision by P&O (and Cunard as far as I’m aware) that stated check-in times will be adhered to; and secondly the stories that have come back from the cruises out of Southampton by Royal […]

Yikes! I’ve just discovered that Harmony of the Seas will be in Southampton this Sunday when we embark Britannia for our Fjords cruise. She’ll be embarking passengers for a 7-night cruise to Barcelona, from where she will do the rest of her summer schedule. So in port on Sunday there will be HotS (I like […]

Shares in Royal Caribbean […]

Yet another very quiet week from me, I’m afraid. However things will improve quite soon – we embark Azura in just over a week’s time for a 14-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean. We booked this in April last year, so we’ve been waiting almost eighteen months; let’s just say that we’re good and ready […]

I’ve picked up a few pieces of information on these points, so here we go. Dynamic Dining: Royal Caribbean introduced this on their Quantum-class ships; it’s a change to the traditional dining model. As I understand it, instead of a single (or multiple, identical) Main Dining Room, there are multiple different dining rooms, with different menus. […]

The question of whether to pay the cruise lines’ price for internet access during a cruise or whether to look for free wifi while ashore often comes up. I did a post just over a year on this topic, but it’s time to revisit the issue. For both P&O and Cunard the current position is […]
