I read a number of other cruise-related blogs and websites, and one that I keep checking is Jane Chadwick’s ‘Go Cruise with Jane’ site. It’s not solely a blog – not even primarily, in fact, as Jane and her daughter work in the industry as online cruise TAs – but she does do reviews of cruises she gets to go on, and she writes in an enjoyable and chatty style.

She was obviously fortunate enough to be invited onto the two-night mini/sample cruise that Quantum of the Seas did from Southampton a few weeks ago, and she’s published one of her reviews about it. To be honest, she makes it sound very attractive. I’ve done a few posts about QotS, mainly because it’s a big deal, but nothing I’d read about the ship inspired me much. Although I get the feeling that Jane shares many of our likes and dislikes, e.g. she enjoys the formal aspect of cruising, she was clearly very impressed with QotS, and her review makes QotS sound very attractive even though it has all the usual Royal Caribbean bells and whistles. And of course Anthem of the Seas, QotS’s sister ship, will be cruising out of Southampton in 2016.

Here’s a link to Jane’s review, and here’s a link to my posts about Quantum of the Seas.
